, an official publication of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology.
With the rapid advances being made in our understanding of brain function and dysfunction, as well as their underlying biological mechanisms and psychological and social contexts, ECNP has decided that a new journal is called for, specifically targeting the intersection between neuroscience, applications and new treatment horizons.
The journal will be a complement to European Neuropsychopharmacology
, which will retain its focus on centrally acting agents, their connections to the biological bases of mental disorders, and the development and improvement of real-world treatments. Together the two journals will provide publishing options that cover the span of the applied and translational neurosciences.
The inaugural editor-in-chief of Neuroscience Applied
is Andreas Meyer-Lindenberg, Germany. He is joined by two associate editors: Suzanne Dickson, Sweden, covering preclinical science and psychiatric disorders; and Mark Millan, France, covering research and discovery for novel treatments, neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative disorders of ageing.
The journal is expected to release its first issue later this year.
